Santa Claus is comin' to 516 Berkley Way!

Hello to all of my followers who love me soo much! I have been on hiatus because I've been a sickly little boy! It started with teething then to bronchitis and now MORE teething! That little toothie of mine is stubborn just like my daddy! lol Just kidding Daddy! Mommy and daddy are taking good care of me and giving me lots and lots of love and attention. Mommy puts oragel on my gums and although it helps, I hate it! I scream for a few minutes after mommy puts it on! I went to the doctor yesterday and I weigh 17lbs and 11ozs! I'm 2ozs shy of gaining 1lb in 2 weeks! I guess mommy and daddy call me chunky monkey for a reason! The doctor told mommy not to worry because my weight is proportioned with my height which is 27inches!! I'm gonna be a big boy like my daddy! Mommy is so protective of me and she cries when I hurt! She told daddy she's going to hurt the first little kid that pushes me down on the playground and daddy told her not to worry because I was going to be so big that all the little kids would leave me alone! Mommy, Daddy, and Adam have been telling me about Santa Claus and that he's coming in 1 week! I don't know how I feel about a strange man coming to our house but as long as he brings me a toy I guess it will be okay! Mommy had my picture made with Adam and Santa! I can't wait for my first Christmas and to be spoiled rotten by my family!

New bad habits!

I have found my thumb!! I love this new thing! It fits perfectly into my mouth and it's a lot better than my pacifier! I love to hold my silkie and suck my thumb! Mommy tries to make me suck my pappy instead of my thumb, but she always fails!! Today daddy fed me REAL sweet potatoes at Jomars and then mommy fed me some squash at home! It was the first time I ever at squash and I LOVED it! I ate every drop!! Last night I even slept ALL NIGHT! Mommy hopes that this is a new trend, but we'll see!! Today I got to eat lunch with mommy, daddy, Adam, nana, papa, great grandma, and great grandpa!! I am such a loved boy!!!!

Hello Little Owl

As if crying when I wanted mommy and daddy's attention wasn't enough, now I like to whoot like a little owl! Just this week I started saying, "whooo, whooo, whooooo!" I like to sit in my swing and whoot at mommy! I like to whoot when I'm in a good mood like when I get up from a nap or when I finish my bottle or taters! Mommy is crazy and thinks if she whoots back at me that we are communicating! I just think it's funny that mommy whoots back and I start to smile and almost laugh! My favorite thing to do now is to sit in my swing and stare at the Christmas tree!

Who is this Claus person, Adam?

The other day, my mommy put a tree up in our living room! It has shiny balls all over it! I love to sit in my swing and stare at it! Adam keeps talking about this Claus man that is going to bring him a bicycle! Adam and I watch the classic Christmas stories that mommy and daddy bought me! We watch Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Santa Claus is Comin to Town, and Frosty the Snowman! We're ready for Santa to come!

Lil' Clemson Fan

Sunday I wore a very special pair of overalls! These were Clemson overalls that my mommy wore when she was a baby! Daddy LOVES Clemson football and he loved me in those overalls! Nana was so happy to see me in those overalls! She showed me off when we got to church! GO TIGERS!

My 1st BOO!

Saturday October 31, 2009 was my very first Halloween! My nana bought me a monkey costume before I was even born! Mommy and Daddy were scared that it was gonna swallow me whole, but guess what??!! I'm growing sooo fast that it fit perfectly!! Mommy and daddy took Adam and I to nana and papa's house to get ready to trunk-a-treat! Adam was Thomas the train! We took pictures there then mommy and daddy took Adam and me to Bethlehem Baptist and Freedom FWB for trunk-a-treat! It was soo hot and my monkey costume made me unhappy! I slept most of the time anyways. Adam got to ride the tractor on a hay ride and he really liked it! My mommy and Adam were sick so we left early and cuddled up at home!Me in my monkey costume It fit perfectly!

My First Shots

Mommy took me to the dr today for my first set of shots. Adam and Nana went too! I got some medicine in my mouth and 3 shots in my legs! Mommy cried harder than I did I think! I've only been just a little fussy. After the dr mommy and nana took me to Wal Mart and Nana bought me some toys to hang on my car seat. I can sit and reach for them! When we got home mommy put warm rags on my sore spots where I got shots. Mommy has been giving me plenty of kisses and that makes it all better!

Lazy Day

Last night was a rough night for mommy and me. I didn't feel good and didn't get much sleep. I wanted to cry all night because my ear hurt. Mommy tried everything to make me feel better, but nothing seemed to help. Finally my mommy rocked me to sleep and I slept for about 2 hours before I woke up hurting again. I know my mommy and daddy hurt when I hurt! Mommy gives me a special antibiotic two times a day and I'm hoping that it soon helps! I go see my dr again on Tuesday so she can see how well it's working. Daddy and Adam went to church this morning while mommy stayed at home with me. We've snuggled all day long and I loved it! Mommy took some pictures of me and Adam playing. Well I gotta run cause my mommy is about to feed me some more taters!

Ear Infections and Good Eats

Last Tuesday my mommy took me for my 2 month visit to my pediatrician. I was supposed to get shots but when the Dr looked in my ears she saw that I had an infection and I couldn't get shots. I was happy! I don't like sucking on my bottle because it hurts my ears. My mommy gives me tylenol so it doesn't hurt. My dr told mommy that I could start eating some baby food and she suggested sweet potatoes. Later that night mommy and daddy fed me some taters and they were so yummy! I loved them! Mommy has tried to feed me carrots and bananas but they are yucky! Mommy feeds me pear juice too! I love it and smack my lips when I get done! This baby life is pretty great!

A Very Sad Day

When I turned 5 weeks old, my mommy went back to work. Mommy and Daddy took me to my nana's to stay while they were gone. I was still happy because I got to see my nana and papa and get spoiled all day, but my mommy was sad to leave me. I saw her cry when daddy put me in the truck and daddy hugged her to make her feel better. My mommy is still sad to leave me but she knows I have fun with my nana and Mrs. Kim. I get to stay with Nana on Mondays and Wednesdays, and Mrs. Kim on Thursdays and Fridays. Guess what??!! My mommy stays home with me on Tuesday and we snuggle and cuddle and she gives me kisses all day long!!

Splish, Splash My First Bath!

Since coming home from the hospital, mommy had been giving me sponge baths. BUT guess what??!! When that nasty black thing on my belly button fell off, mommy put me in the sink in warm water!!! At first I didn't know what to think, but when I got used to it I loved it! Now I love taking baths and I'm almost getting too big for the sink! When mommy gets me out of the bath, she rubs me down with lotion and it feels SO good! Until next time I'll be livin' the baby life!

My Big Debut

Hey world! My name is Colton Gray Gibson. I am 2 and 1/2 months old. I was born on August 14, 2009 at 8:15 p.m. I weighed 9lbs and 1 oz and was 19 inches long. Mommy and Daddy waited on me for a very long 41 weeks! I have a big brother or sister that lives in Heaven and my cousin Adam, who is 2 1/2, lives with me. I am a very good baby and I try my hardest to sleep all night but I get so hungry that I have to wake up mommy sometimes. I love to sleep a lot and watch cartoons with Adam. I know my mommy and daddy, my grandparents, and my great grands love me soo much because they kiss all over me all the time! My best friends are Brodie Helms and Ansleigh Brasington. We get to play together when my mommy and daddy play with their mommy and daddy on the weekends! Until next time I'll be livin' the baby life!
